Final days of the semester
Man, I am so happy that this semester is about to end. This has been an hardworking, yet rewarding semester filled with so many surprises. I believe that out of all the semesters, this will be the one that I will remember the most.

Cowboys on a roll
The Cowboys have now won 3 straight games an is on pace to make the playoffs as a 4th seed. I hope that they can keep the good work and save this once promising season. I know that injuries to people like Jones will hurt us down the stretch. But if we can get into the playoffs, anything can happen. Just ask last year's Super Bowl champs.

Thanksgiving coming next week
Man, I can not wait until Thanksgiving. It is going to be fun to see some of my relatives, that I have not seen in a while. Also, the food at my house will be absolutely delicious. I bet on that Friday, I will probably sleep all day because I ate so much turkey on the day before. I can not wait to catch some of the football games that will be playing on TV. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year.

We got it.
Our group did a wonderful job on our campaign. We were voted as the group with the best PR campaign for the Mobile Musuem of Art. This really surprised me because I did not know that I was a pretty good writer. I do want to get more understanding in how to design postcards, flyers, and brochures for the campaign.

NFL Season
It is about that time of year when the NFL season is almost over. For the first time in years, there is no clear indication of who is or who is not going to make the playoffs. But, I know one thing, Dallas better make the playoffs because if they do not, this will go down as one of the most disapointing seasons in team history.

Have nothing to say
Today, nothing significant has happen to me. All I did today was lay around the house doing nothing but watching sportscenter all day. This the first time in a long time I had a free day with no school or no work. So, there is really nothing to say about today.

Semester needs to end
Man, I can not wait until this semester end. This has been a pretty rough semester, with all the work and projects that I had to do. December can not come any quicker. However, I did learn alot of valuable material in this semster. But, It is time for it to end.

New President
I can not believe that we have our first ever African American president. It is long overdue. I just hope that he can usher in a new area in our democracy

Project in CA 260
I feel that I chose the right subject for my communication technology class. Sports in video games is a broad category, which I could get much information on. It would be cool to talk about the evolution of NFL Madden franchise. I truly believe that I can do a wonderful job on this project, I hope.

Worn Out
Wow! This month has really worn me out. When I wake up in the morning, I feel like a zombie. I am usually up the night before working on projects, papers, or studying for a rediculous test that morning. I think I have to manage my time alot better than I have been doing. I probably have to get more sleep and eat better. Then, I probably will feel better in the day.

Election Day
Wow! November 4 will be one of the most tense days that America has ever had. This results of this election could have an impact on our lives forever. For the first time in history, we have a African American on a Democratic ticket and we have a woman on a Republican ticket. I think everyone should vote because this country is about to experience a major change and if you want to be part of this change, you are going to have to vote. I can' t wait for this historical day to happen.

Tests over
I hope I got good grades on all my tests. This was a very stressful week for me. I should have expected this because the communication department can be quite crucial at times. Now, that I am finished, I can focus on my Public Relations campaign.

Losing streak
The Cowboys are on a losing streak. This is the worst thing that could have happen for me as a cowboy fan this year. We had so much promise and talent. However, like they say, you have the play the game. We need to start getting back to the fundamentals.

Storm almost over
I have been through one of the toughest weeks in my college life. I had a few midterms and papers to do this week. It was very stressful working on more than one thing at a time. However, my studying habits and work ethic has prevailed. I just hope that the grades come in my favor, when it is all said and done. I really hope that I got all As. Realistic, I just hope that I passed them all.

Church
I went to church tonight, and I enjoyed it very much. The choir was amazing and breathtaking. Also, I enjoyed the sermon, that was preached by the pastor. I have to try to attend church more often, because I really enjoyed the service. I haven't had much time lately to go because of all the classwork and homework, that had to be completed in order for me to have good grades in my classes. Sometimes, I would go on Sundays and stay a little while, but I had to rush back home to study for a test, that would be that following monday. I believe in order for me to succeed in any thing that I set my mind on, I have to put God first in my life. After that, he would supply me with all my needs. So far, he has done that for me. This is why I continue to worship his name.

The Test tomorrow
The test in this class tomorrow, seems like it going to be more difficult than the previous one. I did great on short essay questions, because I knew exactly what I wanted to do. However, on this test, I think that I might have a little trouble because on Multiple choice test, the wording of the questions can be tricking. This problem causes me to lose focus and possibly choose the wrong answer.

Dexter TV show
On sundays around 8p.m, I find myself glue to the television screen watching a Showtime series called Dexter. This show, which is in its third season, is about a serial killer who kills other serial killers. I think this is an orginal plot for such a unique show. This show is a thriller from the beginning to the end. It seems like just when Dexter is about to be caught, he always find a away to escape approaching danger. Now for the record, I am not advocating or supporting this character deeds. I just think that its a very unique and entertaining show. This show, besides CSI, is one of the best shows on television today.

Papers and Projects
Man, it seems like the month of October is going to basically be the month of the devil, because I got so many important papers and midterm tests that I have do in this month. I think that this will be the most challenging month in my time here at South Alabama. But, I know that I can accomplish anything with God on my side. Boy, I am going to really have to get in the ball rolling, if I want to make the grades that I desire to.

Cowboys off to quick start, but defense needs work
The Dallas Cowboys, which is my favorite NFL team, are undefeated after three games. Their offense is outstanding, but their defense needs a little bit work, if they want to continue their success. Tony Romo, Marion Barber and Terrell Owens are playing at a Pro Bowl level, while rookies such as Felix Jones are impressing NFL fans alike. Thier defense is questionable at the best sense. In this league, you do not win too many games giving up huge points. This put more pressure on your offense, because they have to constantly keep scoring, just to keep your team in the game. We really have to do our job on defense because we played The Washington Redskins, who happens to be our biggest rivals. So cowboys defensive players like, Adam Jones, Zach Thomas, Roy Williams, and Demarcus Ware have to step up.

Cousin changes mind on wedding
Well, I guess my cousin found out at the last minute that his fiance was not the one for him. He recently broken up with her because he felt that she wasn't really up to his standards. But the thing that really surprised me is how he has found another girlfriend in a relatively short time. I guess he just recovered quickly or he is just simply a DOG. Man this is really wierd, How can you come from a long relationship and date a girl the next day after you broke up from your fiance. This is hillarious. I guess he need to grow up a little more before he can make a commitment like that.
Well, at least I don't have to pay for a tuxedo for the wedding.

Busy weekend
This is will be one of the toughest weekends that I possibly could remember. I have so much to do for my classes next week. For example, I have a couples of test and a major project that is due, so I have to get on the ball to do this work. I will probably be stuck a home for most of the weekend, studying and doing some annotative bibliographies, which is time consuming. I will try to do the best that I can.

Time to buckle
I have noticed that the period of getting a feel for my classes are over. It is time to get to work. I have three tests that are somewhat in the near future and I feel that in order for me to make good grades on all of them, I have to start studying right away. However, what makes this semester a little more convient than previous semesters is that I' m taking all of my classes at the communication building. So, this means all of classes are dealing with communications. But, we all know that communcations can be a monster sometimes, and I'm ready to get focus on my work.

Cousin is getting married.
Wow! I am so surprised that my cousin, who I basically grew up with is getting married. This is funny because by the looks of him, you would never guess that he would decide to jump the broom like that. This is the same guy who had about six girlfriends at the same time, which is startling to think. He would get a new girlfriend as if he was buying a soft drink from a nearby soda machine. He would go to clubs and bars more often than his own house. However, he has begun to think about his future lately and being the age of 26 may have influenced his thinking. Also, he has asked me to be apart of his wedding, but I have to see it to believe it because he can change his mind like that.
Eventhough this revelation caught me by surprised, I want to let him know that I support him in any decision that he makes.

New NFL season
I'm so excitied about the upcoming NFL season. As a Dallas Cowboys fan, I truly feel that we are the favorites to win the Superbowl. There is no one that can match our talent on paper and on the field.
Also, I am interested how Brett Favre performs with in his new team, The New York Jets. He could do wonders for that team, which was terrible last year. It will be cool to see him play against the overpowering New England Patriots, who has won the AFC east for the last six years.
Futhermore, I have to talk about last year's Superbowl Champions, The New York Giants. They could be the wildcard this season. Personally, I hope that they fall on their blue faces. They basically stole the Vince Lombardi trophy from Dallas in the 2007 Wildcard playoffs.
In conclusion, I just so excited about the passion, pain, and drama in a little sport we like to call football.

Aftermath of Hurricane
I'm so happy that Gustav did not destroy anything that was valuable to me and my family. We were terrified that we would spend signficant time with no power, due to this storm. However, lady luck was on our side for this time. Also, I am surprised that New Orleans still have their city because when I looked on the news, the water from Lake Pontchrain was tipping over the newly built levees. But, luckily the storm only caused minor damage to the already damage lower ninth ward section of New Orleans.
People who live on the Gulf Coast cannot breath an sigh of relief because Hurricane Ike has the potential to be an category 4 storm.

Hurricane Time
Everyone has been on "pens and needles" thinking about what will happen when Gustav arrives on the Gulf Coast. Many people have started to gas up their cars, board up the windows of their houses, and in other cases, leaving coastal cities on the Gulf Coast for higher ground.
Personally, I hope that this storm, which will soon be a hurricane, doesn't destroy cities that recent hurricanes, such as Katrina have. So far, this has not been the case, Gustav has killed more than 27 people on the island of Haiti. It has also done some damage in Cuba and Jamaica. My parents so terrified of this storm, that they made me promise to stay with them doing the storm. I truly pray that this storm does not injure or kill anyone else.

Future Superbowl Champs
I truly believe after thirteen years of mediocrity, The Dallas Cowboys will be the new Superbowl champs this year. There are so many weapons on an offense that feature Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Marian Barber and Jason Whitten. Also, they have no shortage of talent on defense with stallons such as Pacman Jones and Zach Thomas at the helm. The only team that could probably stop Dallas is Dallas. Talent wise and experience wise, no other NFL teams, such as the New York Giants, New England Patriots, and Washington Redskins can compete with them. They absolutely have the best team on paper. However, we all know that the game is played on the field. We shall see if the Dallas Cowboys can live up to the hype.

First Week of School
This has been an interesting first week of school. I had to change one of my sociology classes to fit my Public Relations track. Also, I did not realize that used commuication textbooks would be so costly. However, with all the choas surrouding the first week of school, its has been pretty cool. I starting to really get used to my current schedule.
