Hurricane Time

Everyone has been on "pens and needles" thinking about what will happen when Gustav arrives on the Gulf Coast. Many people have started to gas up their cars, board up the windows of their houses, and in other cases, leaving coastal cities on the Gulf Coast for higher ground.
Personally, I hope that this storm, which will soon be a hurricane, doesn't destroy cities that recent hurricanes, such as Katrina have. So far, this has not been the case, Gustav has killed more than 27 people on the island of Haiti. It has also done some damage in Cuba and Jamaica. My parents so terrified of this storm, that they made me promise to stay with them doing the storm. I truly pray that this storm does not injure or kill anyone else.

Future Superbowl Champs

I truly believe after thirteen years of mediocrity, The Dallas Cowboys will be the new Superbowl champs this year. There are so many weapons on an offense that feature Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Marian Barber and Jason Whitten. Also, they have no shortage of talent on defense with stallons such as Pacman Jones and Zach Thomas at the helm. The only team that could probably stop Dallas is Dallas. Talent wise and experience wise, no other NFL teams, such as the New York Giants, New England Patriots, and Washington Redskins can compete with them. They absolutely have the best team on paper. However, we all know that the game is played on the field. We shall see if the Dallas Cowboys can live up to the hype.

First Week of School

This has been an interesting first week of school. I had to change one of my sociology classes to fit my Public Relations track. Also, I did not realize that used commuication textbooks would be so costly. However, with all the choas surrouding the first week of school, its has been pretty cool. I starting to really get used to my current schedule.
