Papers and Projects

Man, it seems like the month of October is going to basically be the month of the devil, because I got so many important papers and midterm tests that I have do in this month. I think that this will be the most challenging month in my time here at South Alabama. But, I know that I can accomplish anything with God on my side. Boy, I am going to really have to get in the ball rolling, if I want to make the grades that I desire to.

Cowboys off to quick start, but defense needs work

The Dallas Cowboys, which is my favorite NFL team, are undefeated after three games. Their offense is outstanding, but their defense needs a little bit work, if they want to continue their success. Tony Romo, Marion Barber and Terrell Owens are playing at a Pro Bowl level, while rookies such as Felix Jones are impressing NFL fans alike. Thier defense is questionable at the best sense. In this league, you do not win too many games giving up huge points. This put more pressure on your offense, because they have to constantly keep scoring, just to keep your team in the game. We really have to do our job on defense because we played The Washington Redskins, who happens to be our biggest rivals. So cowboys defensive players like, Adam Jones, Zach Thomas, Roy Williams, and Demarcus Ware have to step up.

Cousin changes mind on wedding

Well, I guess my cousin found out at the last minute that his fiance was not the one for him. He recently broken up with her because he felt that she wasn't really up to his standards. But the thing that really surprised me is how he has found another girlfriend in a relatively short time. I guess he just recovered quickly or he is just simply a DOG. Man this is really wierd, How can you come from a long relationship and date a girl the next day after you broke up from your fiance. This is hillarious. I guess he need to grow up a little more before he can make a commitment like that.
Well, at least I don't have to pay for a tuxedo for the wedding.

Busy weekend

This is will be one of the toughest weekends that I possibly could remember. I have so much to do for my classes next week. For example, I have a couples of test and a major project that is due, so I have to get on the ball to do this work. I will probably be stuck a home for most of the weekend, studying and doing some annotative bibliographies, which is time consuming. I will try to do the best that I can.

Time to buckle

I have noticed that the period of getting a feel for my classes are over. It is time to get to work. I have three tests that are somewhat in the near future and I feel that in order for me to make good grades on all of them, I have to start studying right away. However, what makes this semester a little more convient than previous semesters is that I' m taking all of my classes at the communication building. So, this means all of classes are dealing with communications. But, we all know that communcations can be a monster sometimes, and I'm ready to get focus on my work.

Cousin is getting married.

Wow! I am so surprised that my cousin, who I basically grew up with is getting married. This is funny because by the looks of him, you would never guess that he would decide to jump the broom like that. This is the same guy who had about six girlfriends at the same time, which is startling to think. He would get a new girlfriend as if he was buying a soft drink from a nearby soda machine. He would go to clubs and bars more often than his own house. However, he has begun to think about his future lately and being the age of 26 may have influenced his thinking. Also, he has asked me to be apart of his wedding, but I have to see it to believe it because he can change his mind like that.
Eventhough this revelation caught me by surprised, I want to let him know that I support him in any decision that he makes.

New NFL season

I'm so excitied about the upcoming NFL season. As a Dallas Cowboys fan, I truly feel that we are the favorites to win the Superbowl. There is no one that can match our talent on paper and on the field.
Also, I am interested how Brett Favre performs with in his new team, The New York Jets. He could do wonders for that team, which was terrible last year. It will be cool to see him play against the overpowering New England Patriots, who has won the AFC east for the last six years.

Futhermore, I have to talk about last year's Superbowl Champions, The New York Giants. They could be the wildcard this season. Personally, I hope that they fall on their blue faces. They basically stole the Vince Lombardi trophy from Dallas in the 2007 Wildcard playoffs.

In conclusion, I just so excited about the passion, pain, and drama in a little sport we like to call football.

Aftermath of Hurricane

I'm so happy that Gustav did not destroy anything that was valuable to me and my family. We were terrified that we would spend signficant time with no power, due to this storm. However, lady luck was on our side for this time. Also, I am surprised that New Orleans still have their city because when I looked on the news, the water from Lake Pontchrain was tipping over the newly built levees. But, luckily the storm only caused minor damage to the already damage lower ninth ward section of New Orleans.

People who live on the Gulf Coast cannot breath an sigh of relief because Hurricane Ike has the potential to be an category 4 storm.
